Terrace and Landscape Design

The Master Plan for this design was to create a space for our clients that allows for relaxation and entertaining while honoring the 1930s Neo-gothic elements found in the parapet, such as the Gothic motifs and finials. We utilized a mix of classic and modern elements, such as the Restoration Hardware French Beam Concrete & Teak Table and Provence Bucket Chairs, and IPE, Brazilian Walnut, flooring.

Weathered-grey tones and intricate Chippendale latticework found in the teak sofa work well with the classic elements and vibrant green tones found in the dwarf boxwood hedge.

A Return to my Roots as a Farmer’s Daughter

“When I walked on to this terrace for the first time I started pulling weeds from the antique concrete planters. This project was a reconnection with my roots, my deep relationship with nature, and the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful in an outdoor space”.

The Provence Bucket Chair by Restoration Hardware adds natural and organic elements and provides comfortable seating.

An outdoor lantern adds a rustic element and provides ambiance to the space.

The Gothic motif takes center stage nestled perfectly in between two custom planters.

The Pennisetum Setaceum, a fountain grass, stands up well to the terrace elements and provides visual interest and movement.
